The primary goal in this kitchen project was to create an open-plan kitchen space and living area through a rear extension and internal structural work. This was a collaborative effort, with the client providing the overall design and ASJ Construction offering expert advice and creative solutions throughout the process. 

The project boasts several outstanding features, including a bespoke kitchen with a hidden pantry / utility room, a dedicated drinks cabinet, and a built-in pet shower. The space is flooded with natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors, and a striking roof lantern, creating a truly impressive and modern aesthetic. 

A key challenge arose when the original architectural plans proved incompatible with the existing house dimensions, threatening to severely impact the availability of headroom in the new space. Rather than simply following the plans, ASJ Construction brought in their own structural engineer. They creatively addressed the issue by introducing a structural column and then mirroring it to create a stunning housing for the range cooker, which became a focal point of the kitchen. They also addressed and fixed non-compliant drain lines, all while keeping the project on schedule.
