BATJIC 2025/2026

If you downloaded the 2025/26 BATJIC wage rates before 10/07/2025

If you have previously downloaded the voluntary BATJIC wage rates from the FMB website for 2025/26 period, please download the updated version below. Errors were identified in the original documents published in June, which have now been corrected.

Depending on the rates you have used, you may find that some wages have increased, remained the same, or decreased. We have also made a slight adjustment to the NVQ Level 3 wage rate to correct a historic issue, resulting in this rate increasing by slightly more than the agreed 3 percent uplift.

We sincerely apologise for these errors and are putting a more robust system in place for next year to prevent similar issues in future.

The BATJIC 2025/26 wage rates will come into effect from Monday 16 June 2025. This year’s agreement is a one-year deal that has agreed to a 3% wage rate increase, and a 3% increase for daily fare and lodging allowance in line with January 2025’s figure for the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The agreement ends on Sunday 14 June 2026.

The BATJIC daily fare and lodging allowances are included on HMRC’s list of Working Rule Agreements and can therefore be paid tax free.

Full details and all new wage rates applicable from 16 June 2025 and the full BATJIC Constitution and Working Rule Agreement 2024/25 are available to download below. Information sheets from the previous year can also be downloaded.

Please note that the wages are not a direct 3% increase on the previous year. They have also been adjusted for changes to minimum wages and the 3% rate increase has been applied to the minimum wage uplift where appropriate.

What is BATJIC?

BATJIC (The Building and Allied Trades Joint Industrial Council) is an annually agreed voluntary wages and payment scheme negotiated between the FMB and UNITE the Union. Members may use the scheme in its entirety or as guidance and are not bound to follow it. We know many members choose to go beyond the agreed BATJIC rates.
