We are proud to announce our continued, long-standing support for The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. They are the only organisation in our sector dedicated to providing financial, emotional, and physical wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

Across the UK, Lighthouse plays a vital role in ensuring people in our industry know exactly where to turn when life becomes difficult. Their team works tirelessly to promote safer, healthier working environments and raise awareness of the free, confidential help available to anyone who needs it.

A lifeline for construction

Lighthouse has significantly expanded its reach over the years, from their 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline and live chat to the #MakeItVisible tours and community Beacon hubs. Their services focus on prevention, resilience, and early intervention, providing a lifeline for our industry. Services they offer include:

  • Emergency Financial aid to construction families in crisis
  • Advice on welfare and mental wellbeing
  • Support on legal, tax and debt management matters

That is why at the FMB, we remain fully committed to working with Lighthouse and championing the services that can make a real difference to builders and their families.
