Apprenticeship week 2025
Simone McAllister, FMB Regional Support Executive speaks to prospective apprentices at an event in Northern Ireland.

Attracting and retaining the next generation of a skilled workforce is a challenge we know FMB members are worried about. With this in mind, FMB Northern Ireland take every opportunity we can to promote the great opportunities that the construction industry offers.

Apprenticeship Week 2025
During the recent Apprenticeship Week, staff attended a number of events to showcase the FMB and talk to both parents and young people.

Two events run by Southern Regional Colleges in Newry and Craigavon attracted over 1000 people and we hope many of them will have the seeds of interest in construction sprouting now.

We continue to do all we can working with local schools, colleges, the Department of Economy and CITB to promote careers advice to young and old.
