South West and Southern Counties regional boards welcome new members
April and May saw the election process in full swing to elect new members to both of the region’s boards; South West and the Southern Counties.
As a member-led organisation, Area Boards are vital to how the FMB is run. They meet at least twice a year to bring their experiences as small and medium sized (SME) builders to the table, discussing their experiences and observations of the building sector at a local level, and making recommendations on how the FMB can best support members. Board members also support and promote the FMB by getting involved with local events, speaking at industry conferences and organising FMB events for members in their areas.
These boards form an important part of the FMB’s governance – any FMB member can nominate themselves to join and the final decision on who is elected is made by members in the region voting when there’s a competitive election.
This year we saw competitive elections again for both boards and I’d like to thank all those who put themselves forward as nominees to represent their fellow regional members.
Who’s been elected?
For the South West, elected to the board were:
