Hayley Lorimer

Director of Membership Services, Federation of Master Builders

Hayley Lorimer is Director of Membership Services at the Federation of Master Builders, and a member of the FMB’s Senior Management Team. Hayley was Director of Training at the FMB from 2011–2015, and prior to that Director of the FMB’s Southern Region. Hayley has responsibility for the FMB’s staff training, as well as for development of a range of modern and relevant services, including training and business support, to help the FMB members run profitable and safe businesses.

Rosalind Thorpe

Director of Education and Standards, Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)

Ros Thorpe, our Director of Education and Standards, joined the Institute in 2009 as an accreditation officer and took on the role of Head of Education in 2011. Prior to that, Ros worked as a teacher of English and corporate courses manager at the British Council in Moscow, where she lived for 10 years.  

Ros has a degree in English and a post-graduate diploma in Russian, as well as various teaching qualifications. Ros is a Chartered Member of the CMI. Ros is responsible for managing the Institute’s regulated qualifications and exams, the accreditation process, and maintaining the Institute’s published standards, the Education Framework.

Gary Olsen

Director, Create Building and Developments Ltd and President, FMB London

Gary Olsen is an SME builder and President of the FMB London Board. He has a keen interest in a broad range of construction industry matters including consumer issues where they relate to standards and practices within the industry. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
